Tisserand Palmarosa Ethically Harvested Essential Oil 9ml is used in aromatherapy blends, Palmarosa is subtly soothing and supportive, helping to protect against emotional vulnerability and bringing a feeling of peace. Tisserand Palmarosa Essential Oil balancing properties are also useful for stabilising the physical symptoms of PMS such as bloating and hormonal imbalances. Palmarosa essential oil is extracted from the tufty grassy plant Cymbopogon Martini, which is very similar in composition to Lemongrass. The grass is steamed distilled, producing a wonderfully fragrant essential oil with both floral and citrus notes.

An ethically harvested essential oil is derived from a herb, shrub or tree that is not harvested so aggressively that the species becomes depleted. As far as aromatic plants are concerned, species depletion is only rarely a problem with herbs (which are mostly easy to grow in quantity) but tends to be more of an issue with slow-growing trees.
