1. Customer Information
a. You should always check that the contact information you provide is correct before creating a customer account or proceeding to payment.
b. You are responsible for maintaining your own username and password, where required to access your customer account. You should ensure that you store your username and password securely and that the details required to access your customer account are not provided to another party.
c. As a customer you are responsible for your customer account and actions taken within it. If you are aware or suspect that your customer account username and password or other details have become known to a third party, you should inform us immediately.
d. Our website is only intended for use by adults. Adults may purchase products for children as long as the products purchased are intended by the manufacturer for use or consumption by children.
e. Electrical items purchased from our website is only intended for use in the United Kingdom. Electrical items purchased for use outside of the United Kingdom are not intended by the manufacturer for use or consumption by anyone outside of the United Kingdom.

It may take up to 30 days for account data to be deleted. After deletion, you will no longer be able to access your account and your account will be unrecoverable. Payment can be made by any of the following methods: all major debit/credit cards including Switch/Maestro, Solo, Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard. Payment will be debited and cleared from your account at the point at which your order is placed. You confirm that the credit or debit card being used is yours. Please note that all credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the issuer of the card. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to pay or does not for any reason authorise payment to johnandginger.co.uk, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of merchandise. We retain the legal ownership of all merchandise until full payment has been made by you and received by us and legal ownership of the merchandise will immediately transfer back to us if we refund any payment for the merchandise to you.
We use the latest strong encryption technology to ensure that all transactional information is protected to the highest standard. Transactional information includes any credit or debit card details, your personal contact information, together with any other names and addresses you provide when you place an order for delivery to another address, and your purchasing history.
3. Product Pricing, Image and Title
a. We make every effort to ensure that the pricing displayed on our website is correct. However, if an error in the pricing of a product is found we reserve the right to either cancel your order or contact you to arrange payment of any extra sum due or refund any over-payment made by you (as applicable). The processing of an order can be cancelled or corrected by us at any time up to the shipment of that order and any related items.
b. We reserve the right to alter all products pricing without notice. We also reserve the right to discontinue the availability of products at any time at our sole discretion. If an order is cancelled any payment made for the products will be refunded in full, minus the delivery and re-stocking costs of £4.99 for UK orders and £6.99 for international orders. We do not offer free returns, unless the product is damaged, or faulty. Prices shown are inclusive of UK Value Added Tax.
c. Title in any products ordered from us does not pass to you, the purchaser, until we have received and processed a valid payment, and that payment has been made into our own bank account and your order has been shipped.
d. Product images are for illustrative purposes only. On occasion the item you will receive will be slightly different from that shown in the picture. Johnandginger.co.uk endeavours to always have up to date and accurate images for products. Should you have any queries please refer to the item description which will correctly show you what product is for sale or call our customer services who will happily verify any queries you may have.
c. All items are subject to availability. Validly stated prices on our website remain in effect for so long as the merchandise is available or as otherwise stated on our website. We will inform you as soon as possible if the goods you have ordered are not available. Minimum order is 1.00 GBP
4. Your Order and Delivery
a. When you place an order you will automatically receive a confirmation email from us to confirm your order. Your order constitutes an offer made to us to purchase the goods specified in the order. We may at times require the need to delay an order due to stocking, we will notify you by email. Gifts with Purchase are subject to availability and can be exchanged or withdrawn at any time, without given notice.
b. Prices quoted on johnandginger.co.uk are in UK Pounds Sterling. Outside the UK your credit card company will charge you in your local currency at the current rate. Please note that both charges and any refunds are in UK Pounds Sterling.
c. We reserve the right to delay or refuse orders where a transaction contains incomplete details or details that cannot be verified or where fraud is suspected.
d. If we are unable to reasonably ascertain these details or resolve these issues a full refund will be made against the card used at the time of purchase. No other form of refund or credit will be offered nor will a refund be made to any third party card or account.
e. It is your responsibility to supply correct billing and delivery address information. In the event that inaccurate address information has been supplied Johnandginger.co.uk is unable to accept any responsibility for misdirection of your order. Please pay special attention to order confirmation and contact us by phone on +44 (0) 1273 249466 Mon - Fri 09.00 - 17.00 to amend where possible.
f. Unfortunately, severe weather conditions can disrupt our couriers from time to time. These circumstances are beyond the control of both Johnandginger.co.uk and its couriers partners. No refunds will be given on Special or Express Delivery (usually next working day) or other timed delivery services if the courier is unable to operate its normal services due to bad weather.
g. We must allow up to 14 working days (UK Deliveries) and 28 working days (European and Rest of the World) from despatch before a parcel is deemed lost in transit, if we are not contacted within 14 days of despatch with regards to late or missing order queries, then we cannot then investigate or rectify this, and no refunds or reshipping will be offered where enquiries are made after this time. 5. Shipping and Customs Duty
a. All orders received by us are shipped subject to availability.
b. We reserve the right to ship products at a later date (up to 28 days after purchase) where the product ordered is not in stock at the time of purchase. In this situation you will be contacted and offered a full refund or exchange instead of delivery of the product.
c. We cannot be held responsible for disruption to shipping caused by industrial disputes or action outside our direct control. If such disruption occurs you will be offered delivery via an alternative delivery option or a full refund.
d. If you are ordering a product from outside the UK the recipient of the product is responsible for all customs duties or tariffs incurred in the country to which the products are shipped. Furthermore your order may be subject to delay or be opened and searched by local customs authorities when entering the destination country. Please note we are unable to provide specific advice on customs duties or tariffs.
6. Cancellation Rights, Returns and Refunds
a. Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you have a right to cancel your purchase. However, to exercise this right you must notify us in writing (email or letter) within seven working days from the day after you receive your goods. With unopened, faulty products please notify us in 30 days of receiving your order.
b. We do not offer free returns, unless the product is damaged, or faulty.
c. Notification of faulty or damaged goods must be sent in writing within 30 working days from receipt. If faulty John And Ginger Limited will supply a freepost returns label so the product can be sent back to us for inspection and forwarded on to the brand. If damaged, photographic proof must be sent to John And Ginger Limited and a freepost returns label may be sent so the product can be returned to us.
D. No right of cancellation, refund or return exists under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 once you have used your product, unless the product is defective (i.e. electrical fault within warranty, or container damage) and you are returning it for this reason.
e. Goods that are sealed or shrink-wrapped and this is removed can only be returned if they are defective.
f. Please note that free gifts are non-returnable nor are they refundable. Faulty free gifts can be exchanged for a replacement free gift of our choice.
g. No right of cancellation exists for personalised goods or goods that are intimate in their nature or goods where there may be hygiene issues, unless defective; we do not guarantee that any item will be suitable as all products are purchased at your discretion based on your hair, skin type etc. and your knowledge of what you require. A professional Salon, Make-up or skin consultation is recommended before purchasing any beauty products online.
Please observe the following procedure for all returns to us:
a. Please contact the customer services team on +44 (0) 1273 249466 or email email@example.com, stating the order number and reason for return request. Once return is validated a postage label and return form will be sent to you.
b. If you are returning your product because it is defective, please state the defect or defects.
c. Repackage the product in its original packaging, including any accessories, brochures, manuals, guarantees or warranties that came with the product. Unfortunately we will be unable to issue a refund where the product is in an incomplete state.
d. In respect of Dermalogica products: Dermalogica offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee for all their products. In the event that you wish to return your product, please contact our Customer Services Team within 30 days of the PURCHASE date. Should you have a skin response to your product please also contact our customer service team as soon as possible.
e. If the original packaging surrounding the product has been damaged or destroyed we will only issue a refund if the product is being returned due to a defect. If the original packaging of a defective product has been damaged or destroyed you should ensure that the returned product is adequately packed for shipment back to us.
f. We will not issue refunds for any items lost or stolen in transit to us.
g. Where a return is lost or stolen in transit to us, you should claim compensation from the company that shipped the return.
h. If you fail to return a product to us, we may make arrangements to have the product collected from you. The cost of this collection will be passed on to you.
i. Subject to the above, we will refund the purchase price of a received returned product within thirty days of receiving written notification of your intention to return the product. If you have returned an item to be refunded, you will be refunded the amount you were charged when the order was placed.
j. We will also refund the cost of standard or recorded postage incurred returning a product, if incorrectly sent by us or where the product has been returned due to a defect. Please note that we will not refund any courier, overnight or express element of any delivery or postage charge, including Royal Mail Special Delivery.
k. If you are returning a product because you changed your mind, we are happy to offer a refund, exchange or replacement, on all goods returned to us within 28 days of your receipt of goods. For hygiene reasons products must be in their original, unopened and unused condition with all tamper resistant seals, packaging and cellophane intact. A refund will then be made minus the delivery and re-stocking costs of £4.99 for UK orders and £6.99 for international orders. If your delivery was free, as per our terms and conditions on promotional postage, a delivery and admin fee will be deducted from your refund to cover postage and admin costs.
8. Events outside our control
Johnandginger.co.uk shall not be liable for delay or failure to perform any obligation under these Terms & Conditions if the delay or failure is caused by any circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of god, war, civil disorder or industrial dispute.
9.1 Johnandginger.co.uk grants you a licence to access the content, information and services contained within our website for personal use only.
9.2 This licence allows you to download and cache (using your browser) individual pages from our website.
9.3 This licence does not allow you to download and modify individual pages or substantial parts of our website nor to make our website available via an intranet, where our website or a substantial part of it is hosted locally on the intranet in question.
9.4 Our website design, layout, content or text cannot be copied, edited or otherwise manipulated without our express prior written permission.
9.5 Our website cannot be placed within the frame-set of another site.
9.6 Third parties are not allowed to “deep link” to pages within our website, without our express prior written permission. All links (unless expressly permitted by us) should be to the main index page of our website. Furthermore, the content of such links, whether graphic or text should not be misleading, false, derogatory or in any other way offensive.
9.7 The restriction on “deep linking” does not apply to affiliate partners who wish to send customers directly to a particular page or product in order to increase their affiliate sales.
10.1 All content, databases, graphics, buttons, icons, logos, layouts and the look and feel are the copyright of John And Ginger Limited, unless expressly acknowledged as otherwise.
10.2 The data mining, extraction or utilisation of product information from our website is not permitted without our express prior written permission.
The foregoing paragraphs, sub-paragraphs and clauses of these Terms & Conditions shall be read and construed independently of each other. Should any part of this agreement or its paragraphs, sub-paragraphs or clauses be found invalid it shall not affect the remaining paragraphs, sub-paragraphs and clauses.
Failure by johnandginger.co.uk to enforce any accrued rights under these Terms & Conditions is not to be taken as or deemed to be a waiver of those rights unless we acknowledge the waiver in writing.
13. Entire Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions set out the entire agreement and understanding between you and johnandginger.co.uk, we reserve the right to change these Terms & Conditions at any time, without giving notice to you.
These Terms & Conditions shall be interpreted, construed and enforced in accordance with English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

15. Customer Complaints
We endeavour to respond to all customer complaints or queries within five working days.
Delivery Terms And Conditions
Shipping times are quoted on the basis that the product is in stock. Orders are processed between Monday and Friday 09:00 - 15.00 GMT, excluding Bank and Public Holidays.
Delays - Part Shipment
Very occasionally certain items will go temporarily out of stock or may be discontinued at short notice by our suppliers. We will notify you via email if this is the case and will offer you the opportunity to keep your items on back order, arrange alternative products or offer a full refund. In the event that we cannot send all your items in one shipment we will part ship your order so that you receive the majority of your selected items as quickly as possible. The remainder of your order will be dispatched within 24 hours of receipt of the good from our suppliers.
During busier times (for example Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and especially at Christmas) there may be a slight delay in processing your order.
Most UK orders are sent via Royal Mail and our standard delivery times quoted. We cannot be held responsible for items delayed in the postal system, or any industrial action taken by our nominated couriers as this beyond our control.
Lost In Transit
We must allow up to 14 working days (UK Deliveries) and 28 working days (European and Rest Of The World) from despatch before a parcel is deemed lost in transit. If we are not contacted within 14 days of despatch with regards to late or missing order queries, then we cannot then investigate or rectify this and no refunds or reshipping will be offered when enquiries are made after this time. Unfortunately, severe weather conditions can disrupt our couriers from time to time, which can affect the services we offer and will affect the usual guarantee of service levels that are offered by our couriers. Naturally, Couriers will always put the safety of its drivers and ancillary staff first over performance targets. Every effort to put in place contingency plans when bad weather hits certain postcode areas. However, delays and back logs do occur from time to time. These circumstances are beyond the control of both johnandginger.co.uk and its courier partners. When selecting shipping methods please be aware that no refunds will be given on Special or Express Delivery (usually next working day) or other timed delivery services if the courier is unable to operate its normal services due to bad weather. Special/Express Delivery Services will always take priority and are still the fastest way to receive items.
All prices on our site are quoted in UK Pounds Sterling (£).
Errors On Receipt Of Your Order
Any errors or missing items must be notified to us within 7 days of receipt of your order. We will be unable to redress any errors after this time has elapsed.
Pre-Orders & Free Gifts
Orders that contain pre-order products (i.e. not currently in stock) will be shipped as soon as all products are in stock. Please note orders that qualify for a free gift will be confirmed on the Order Confirmation. If there is no free gift on the Order Confirmation, it was not allocated to the order or the order did not qualify for the free gift. All free gifts are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute free gifts without notification.
To help us process your order we require that you complete your full billing address details during the registration/checkout process matching the exact address and postcode details held by your bank. If these details are not correct we may put the order on hold until our verification is completed. (This applies even if the transaction is completed and an order number is sent out to you).
Alternative Delivery Address
We will ship to another specified Delivery Address only when we have confirmed that the card holders billing address details are correct and verified. We are unable to make changes to delivery addresses once an order has been confirmed at checkout.
All international deliveries are passed on to the local postal service of your country. Please refer to the Delivery Times Estimator for your region. Parcels may have to pass through local customs which can delay your delivery. Countries outside the EU are subject to additional customs charges which vary considerably and are not included in the cost. These charges must be paid for by the recipient before the package is cleared. Johnandginger.co.uk cannot refund any customs or import duty paid by the recipient.
*Currently we cannot ship aerosols, nail polishes, reed diffusers, items containing batteries and perfumes outside the United Kingdom due to shipping restrictions. If you live outside these areas any of these items will be removed from your order and refunded, subsequently delaying the dispatch of your order.
Order and delivery Confirmation Emails
When your order is received, we'll send you an email confirming your order. Then, when your order is despatched, we'll send you a despatch confirmation.
What if my order has not arrived?
If you have received confirmation of shipping but your goods have not arrived, please ensure that you have allowed sufficient time according to the estimated delivery times for your area. If your order hasn't arrived by the expected due date then please contact your local Royal Mail delivery office to see if your parcel is waiting for collection, check with your neighbours or any safe place your parcel may have been left. NOTE: we will not declare a parcel lost until 14 working days have passed since despatch for the UK, and 28 working days for international orders.

*Johnandginger.co.uk cannot be held accountable for any delays of parcels in transit, as this is beyond the control of the company.
On occasion parcels are returned to us after the customer has failed to pick them up from the depot, please read further details below.
Re-Shipping of Orders / Orders Returned by Our Couriers
If your parcel has not been delivered it may be sitting at your local Royal Mail/Courier depot. If you fail to retrieve the parcel, your parcel fails to be delivered on more than one occasion, no safe place option has been specified or your parcel is refused at the delivery address, it will then be returned to us and there will be one of three actions.
We will attempt to contact you when your order is returned, however on occasion you may contact us before we have the opportunity to contact you, in both instances the following options will be available to you:
1 We can issue a refund minus the initial postage costs. – If your delivery was free, as per our terms & conditions on promotional postage, a postage fee will be deducted from your refund to cover postage and admin costs.
2 We can re-dispatch the parcel to you, however please note this will incur a further fee* to cover admin and postage costs.
3 If we have contacted you and have not received a response after 7 calendar days we will automatically process a refund minus the initial postage costs.
* The fee will be charged based on the original shipping method used for UK delivery or International delivery. Please note even if your order qualified for free shipping you will be charged for the equivalent postage costs as return of the item voids the promotional postage offer.
From time to time we issue voucher codes for discounts, prize draws or free gifts. Voucher Codes remain valid for the durations stated in our promotional materials, at the sole discretion of johnandginger.co.uk and may be discontinued at any time without prior notice. Customers may only redeem either one voucher code, or bonus points voucher, per order. All voucher codes can only be used once per customer. Unless otherwise stated promotional voucher codes will not be redeemable against products that are already being promoted. Specifically products in 3 for 2 offers, Brand Sale Events, On Sale, Special Offers, Outlet and Gift Vouchers will be excluded.
Bonus Points Scheme
You will be automatically be enrolled when you create an account with John And Ginger, please note that you also need to subscribe to our newsletters to receive any bonus points balance or any email about the bonus points scheme. You earn points every time you sign in to your account and shop with us. For every £1 you spend, you will earn 1 Bonus Point. We reserve the right to vary this right at any time in our sole discretion. If we do decide to vary this rate then we will use reasonable endeavours to inform you in advance.
Points my only be redeemed on website purchases and cannot be exchanged for cash or gifts.
You have to sign in, check your bonus points. When you are ready to make a purchase you can redeem your points into a voucher to use at the basket.
This voucher will have a minimum spend requirement and an expiry date. Once you have activated the voucher we cannot cancel the voucher and reinstate your points if you change your mind.
You cannot use both a bonus points voucher and a discount voucher code at the same time, so you need to choose the bonus points voucher, or a discount voucher. They cannot be used together.
If an item is returned, points will be deducted from your bonus points account.
The points will accumulate in your account until you convert them to a voucher to spend. As soon as you convert them into a voucher, then you have 50 days to use the voucher before it expires. We recommend you to only redeem your points into a voucher when you are ready to use it, as we cannot reinstate the bonus points of an expired voucher.
Your points will get added to your balance as soon as your order has been despatched.
We may, from time to time, exclude certain products from the bonus points programme at our sole discretion but if we do so then we will clearly state such exclusion on our website.
From time to time, we may run special promotions and award additional points. For example, we may increase the number of points that you receive for every £1 GBP you spend, or award bonus points when you purchase a particular product or refer a friend.
We may set a limit on how many promotional points can be awarded to any one account.
We may refuse membership to the points programme if we feel there is a good reason to do so.
Membership of the Points Programme is restricted to individual account holders and therefore you may not share or transfer your points to a third party, including a friend or family member.
If you have a bonus points balance we may send you emails about news and offers relating to the Bonus Points Scheme as well as any other promotional offers unless you let us know otherwise.
You can opt out of all such marketing and withdraw your consent at any time by clicking unsubscribe in the communications you receive. Opting-out will not affect your membership of the Bonus Points Scheme and you can still check your points balance on your account page.
We often run special promotions via offers or emails that include the use of voucher codes. Please note that most voucher codes have an expiry date after which they are not redeemable. We reserve the right to remove promotional codes at any time and without warning. We reserve the right to withdraw any offers at any time.
