Treat and prevent existing blackheads, whiteheads and breakouts with Murad Clarifying Mask a weekly treatment that draws out impurities and refines oily congested skin. A unique blend of kaolin and bentonite clays regulates oil production and reduces shine, whilst star ingredient Sulfur reduces the severity of acne blemishes and encourages the skin to clear. After just one use a significant amount of sebum is removed from inside the pores. Your complexion is left clear, and refined with out irritation as zinc oxide and licorice root extract comfort and soothe skin with their calming and healing properties.

Skin concerns: breakouts, excess oil and shine, large or clogged pores.

How to use: Apply an even layer onto clean skin. Leave on for 10 minutes, rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry. Follow with a Murad Step 3 moisturiser.

Salicylic acid and sulfur are two of the most common acne-fighting ingredients on the market, but work on different acne triggers to help clear acne. Salicylic acid is an ideal non-physical exfoliant for breakout-prone skin. It is oil-soluble, which enables it to penetrate skin to help slough off dulling skin cells that can clog the pore.

I’m pregnant. Is it ok to use sulfur?

We always advise our clients to speak with their doctor about their skincare regimen and product ingredients during their pregnancy.

Do I need to use an SPF if I’m using sulfur?

Murad believes everyone should wear a broad-spectrum SPF every day, regardless of their skin type or condition. We recommend using a broad spectrum SPF. If you are concerned about sensitivity, speak with a doctor about your regimen. You can also ease into treating your skin with salicylic acid so skin has time to adjust.
