How does HEO Mask work?

The HEO Mask has two components that have been built around the Medik8 research of the three crucial elements of H.E.O. standing for 'Hydrators', 'Emollients' and 'Occlusives' for optimum skin hydration and moisturisation. Hydrators, such as hyaluronic acid draw water into the skin from the environment and lower layers of the skin, emollients such as squalane and ceramides help repair the skins barrier and nourish the skin, while occlusives cannot penetrate the skin so they sit on top of the complexion providing a physical barrier and preventing moisture loss. The first step of this mask is a cooling gel infused with multi weight hyaluronic acid, glycerin, natural moisturising factors and other humectants to draw in moisture. This second step is a rich and velvety cream that locks in this moisture and improves your skins natural ability to retain water. With high levels of emollients like squalane and ceramides to feed the natural skin barrier alongside dimethicone, a well proven occlusive, it forms a protective veil that limits trans-epidermal water loss.

How to use: After cleansing in the evening, as the last step in your skincare routine, apply the blue gel of H.E.O. Mask to face, neck and décolletage, avoiding the eye area. Allow to absorb for a few minutes then gently massage the white cream of H.E.O. Mask into the same areas. Leave on overnight, and cleanse as usual in the morning. Apply 2-3 times a week or as required. As always, a patch test is recommended prior to first use.
