Exposure to sunlight, smoke, mobile phone signals, exhaust fumes and air pollutants create free-radicals which are the leading cause of skin ageing. Directions for Medik8 Firewall:
- Apply after cleansing.
- Dispense a single dose from each pump onto the back of your hand.
- Mix the two parts slowly in a small circle. You will see a deep blue colour change indicating activation.
- Using finger tips gently pat small amounts evenly around the face.
- Smooth into face with directional lines as shown in the diagram. Use firm strokes outwards above the eye, gentle, small circles at the side and continue the circles around the eye towards the nose on the cheek bone.
- Allow to dry before applying further products.
- For best results, Firewall should be used daily, both in the morning and evening after cleansing/toning and before applying retinol and/or hydrator products.
- Medik8 Hydr8 SPF is recommended for use after applying Firewall. Hydr8 contains Ectoin, a sunburst cell protector and SPF 25 to maximise skin protection.

There is some evidence suggesting computer screen emissions are an additional source of environmental pollution but more research is required to substantiate this. In addition, the excesses of 'the night before' such as alcohol consumption can lead to dehydration and the build up of cellular toxins adding to the degeneration of a heathly and youthful complexion. All these environmental pollutants result in the production of free-radicals.

Lasts longer - mimics the natural body's antioxidants
Most antioxidant products work like sponges that soak up or quench free-radicals. Their absorption, though, is limited. Firewall works not only like a sponge but also like an enzyme pump. It sucks-up free-radicals, converts them into bi-products (in a similar way as the body's natural antioxidants SOD and Catalase) and then expels them from the system. Firewall can process millions of repeated conversions before losing activity, making it more effective than other well known products.
Why is the formula in two separate canisters?
Medik8 Firewall is separated into two parts to maximise stability and potency. The twin-chamber pack is an airless system and contains an oxygen-absorbing patch, creating a barrier to the outside air keeping the formula at its highest activity even during use. The last application is as active as the first.
