Drop that soap

Forgo bath soap, switching to a purifying, conditioning wash and buffing cloth to exfoliate dead skin and stimulate the circulation.

Brush up
Removing dead keratinized cells helps your products to penetrate more effectively, bringing a healthy glow to the skin. It also encourages a burst in cell renewal, increases circulation and lymph flow and gives a super smooth skin!

In the shower (no water yet!), mix Dermalogica Hydro-Active Mineral Salts with Stress Relief Treatment Oil. Starting at the feet, rub gently over skin. Rub in upward circular motions from the feet right up to the scalp (avoid the face and neck).   Now turn on the warm water and wash the salts away, they dissolve on contact with water so there’s no mess to clean up!

Pat dry and follow with a generous layer of Body Hydrating Cream to trap in vital moisture and protect the skin.

If you’ve got fair skin or you’re a tanning virgin, you might want to start with a gradual tan. I would recommend St. Tropez Everyday Face, or Xen-Tan Transform before you then move onto a longer-lasting all-over self tan. It’s a good way to dip a toe in the water and experience the healthy-looking glow a tanned face will always give.

Whether you want a healthy hint of colour or an all-over bronze glow, your face needs special care from the start. Skin should be clean and free from dry patches prior to tanning. Self tan and gradual tan can stain pale hair so if you’re blonde or fair put a little extra moisturiser on eyebrows and the hairline before application. After application, simply wipe lips, hairline and eyebrows with a cotton bud to remove any excess.

Facial skin exfoliates naturally more regularly so your face will fade slightly quicker than the rest of you. That’s why there are specialised facial tanners – they’re the perfect way to minimize fade and keep your tan topped up for longer.

Xen-Tan Deep Bronze Luxe provides a creamy, milk chocolate colour immediately, but turns instantly transparent upon application. Apply in the morning straight out of the shower for an instant tan that will last for up to 7 days and dries within seconds. Smells of yummy chocolate too, so no dreaded fake tan odour.

Expose your toes!

1. Soften and slough soles with EssieSpa Marine Sea Salts.  Simply add a spoonful to warm foot bath, and swirl water to help rocks release essential oils.  Next, slough dry skin using EssieSpa Exfoliating Foot Scrub. Uniquely formulated with Apricot, Mandarin and Orange Peel Oil, it effectively hydrates and stimulates while natural pumice removes flaking skin.

2. Bring feet back to life with EssieSpa Hydro-Masque. This luxurious leg & foot mask combines cooling Aloe Vera Extract, and stimulating Peppermint Oil. Apply a generous amount evenly covering leg & foot with plastic cling wrap.  Leave on for 10-20 minutes and gently rinse off.

3. Massage tired feet with EssieSpa Ylang Ylang Leg & Foot Massage Oil. A luscious blend of Jojoba, Ylang Ylang and Coconut Extract deeply penetrates tough calluses and helps rid heel cracks.

4. Moisturise by generously apply EssieSpa Kirby Crème to repair dry, cracked skin.  Specially formulated with Cucumber Extract and Avocado Oil it effectively heals, and protects skin from moisture loss.  And, don’t forget to pamper those cuticles! 5. Now toes are ready for a shot of colour! The most important step is to apply a basecoat to allow a flawless adherence of nail polish.  Essie offers a range of base and top coats for specific needs.  Follow by applying 2 coats of Essie’s hottest pedicure shades and make sure to apply a thin layer of topcoat.
